Conjugation
taberu (eat) -> (potential) tabe-rareru , (passive) taberareru
nokoru (remain) -> (potential) nokor-eru , (passive) nokorareru
nusumu (to steal) -> (potential) nusum-eru , (passive) nusumareru
Note
So only potential of GODAN (mu,nu.su...) is different -> +eru, otherwise always rareru
Examples
!!! Potential:
`hambaga o taberareru` - Hamburger can be eaten (i can eat it)
`hambaga ga taberareru` - Hamburger can be eaten
Note here that in `hambaga o taberareru` hamburger is modified, while in
`hambaga ga taberareru` hamburger is the subject marked by `ga`
I dont like this form so there is another alternative
`hambaga o taberu koto ga dekiru` - this is also supported by tae kim's grammer
Passive
I dont like this form
hambaga ga taberareru hamburger is eaten
Instead you can use two other forms
hambaga wa kare ni taberareru hamburger is eaten by him
which is the same (without passive) as
kare wa hambaga o taberu He eats hamburger
